The ranch was established in when the Dean family relocated to their new facility and it was then that owner and operator Meagan Dean focused on acquiring a string of strong, well-bred broodmares in order to support their program. Ranging all ages and over multiple disciplines in the all-around AQHA industry, Dean Quarter Horses is proud of each and every one of the horses that pass through our barn. We feel the time we take to properly imprint and handle the foals early in life aid in making them more dependable mounts in the future. The best way to create a remarkable program is to focus on the foundation. Our mare power is derived from careful consideration that went into selecting each mare in an effort to maximize raising solid show prospects. AQHA World Show Western Pleasure Challenge Announced

By Corrine Borton on November 9, Since conformation and Western Pleasure have been the foundation disciplines of showing American Quarter Horses, the new event will combine them and then add the talents of performing lead changes and navigating trail poles to create a horse and trainer contest. Three-year-old horses will be shown in three classes within the event: versatility pattern, Western Pleasure, and conformation. Horses must show in all three parts, with the pattern and pleasure each counting 40 percent and the conformation counting 20 percent to the overall score. The pattern, pleasure and conformation portions will be run consecutively, with warm up time between the pattern and the rail portions.

October 12, AQHA has implemented numerous changes to the show to accommodate exhibitors this year. One of those changes involves the qualification requirements.
November 1, What a long, strange year has been. When the world came to a screeching halt in March, few could have predicted what the next seven months would bring in the horse show industry. Throughout the year, however, the industry proved that it could not be deterred.
