The Colorado Ballet and its 29 dancers and apprentices have reached a three-year labor agreement, the first since company members voted for union representation by the American Guild of Musical Artists, the ballet announced today. Jesse Marks, a company member who took part in the negotiations, said the dancers are also happy with the result. There are also supplements based on seniority. Salaries will rise 2 to 3 percent each of the second two years of the agreement, with the exact increase depending on such variables as the rank of the dancers. Another new benefit is a retirement payment for dancers who leave the company with at least 10 years of seniority.
